Secret Ingredient

Can I Afford a Personal Chef?

Afford a Personal Chef

When I tell people that I help busy families get nutrient-dense meals on the table each and every night, and take the time and stress of meal planning off of their plates, they often say, “Wow! I wish I could afford you.” I usually hear this before I even share my prices.

I’m a Personal Chef, and I know that the term was once synonymous with celebrity status. But that’s simply not the case anymore. As life gets busier, you probably could use a little help. Whether it’s a cleaning service to tidy up, a dog walker to let the pup out or a chef to help you get healthy food on the table, we can all benefit from some outsourcing.

To me, there’s nothing more important than feeding my family vibrant, wholesome meals. It keeps them calm, happy and healthy. My mission is to help others do the same. If you’re struggling and could use a hand in the kitchen, consider this: a Personal Chef can actually save you money! Here’s how:

  1. Cut Down on Restaurant Costs: You don’t have time to make dinner, so you take your family to a local restaurant. You order something that sounds healthy, but you really don’t know what ingredients are going into the food. The servings are gigantic and you end the meal with a side of belly bloat. Then, you get the bill. According to the Department of Labor, couples spend about $40-$45 for a meal at a mid-range restaurant and families spend about $65. My guess is this is before you add in a bottle of wine and the Chocolate Lava Cake, meaning it comes out to about $20 (or more) per person.Guess what? I can beat that. For 5 meals at 4 portions each, enough food to feed a family of 4 for 5 days, my fee is less than $20/serving. This includes an entrée and 2 sides. Plus, the quality and ingredients are always of the highest standards.
  2. Minimize Food Waste: You may have the best intentions when it comes to meal prep. You pick out recipes, grocery shop and start the week off right. By Wednesday, you’re exhausted and cooking another meal feels impossible. So by Friday you’re throwing another bunch of rotten ingredients into the trash, hoping next week will be different. It happens! In fact, a study from the Natural Resource Defense Council states that Americans throw away approximately $2,200 in food waste per household every year!As a chef, I only shop for what I need and I use every ingredient to create personalized meals. When you come home after a long day, all you have to do is reheat and eat. With a Personal Chef, you cut down on astronomical grocery costs and expensive food waste.
  3. Own Your Time: You can’t put a price on your time… we can all use so much more of it! Studies show that individuals spend about 7 hours per week planning and preparing meals. What would you give to have an extra hour (or more) of free time every single day? Would you take a bath, read a book, get to the gym or treat yourself to a massage? When I make your meals, I also plan your menus, grocery shop, cook and wash all the dishes. In other words, you don’t have to lift a finger. How would it feel to cross all those to-dos off your never-ending list? So instead of asking yourself: Can I afford a Personal Chef? Ask yourself: Can I afford not to?
